Further Postal Strikes

Royal Mail workers’ union (the CWU) have announced plans for further postal strikes on Thursday 29th Oct Friday 30th Oct and Saturday 31st Oct. During this time there will be limited collection, delivery and processing of all mail.

Royal Mail confirmed it is committed to delivering all of the mail entrusted to them, but have indicated delays are inevitable.

We will be posting daily as normal, but please be aware that our usual delivery times will be affected. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Glimmer Mists, Cosmic Shimmer Mists & lots of re-stocks

Lots of restocks have arrived this week, finally the Tim Holtz Distressing tool is back along with the ink blending tool and replacement foams. We also have Tim Holtz's Retractable craft knife and spare blades, these have the same great ergonomic design as the popular non stick scissors.

A whole new range of Cosmic Shimmer Mists, in 12 different colours at only £3 a bottle they are a bargain. My favourites are peacock green and Ancient Copper so far!!

12 new colours of Glimmer mist and restocks of some older ones too, also the flights of fancy glimmer screens and Glimmer Chips framed fonts.

Ribbons, Lace and Garlands, Oh My!!!

Look what has just arrived... I'd forgotten all about these. They are from a fabulous French company. All I have to do is figure out how to sell them and at what price!! Hopefully that will be today....The vintage style lace is beautiful and I thought the turqouise feathers would be perfect for embellishing projects made with the artylicious peacock party cdrom. I'm thinking belts, chokers, bags all kinds of things for the floral ribbons maybe even a funky closure for a journal.

 

 

 

While having a sort through the stock room today, (trying to make room for all these new items!!) we found a box of card blanks that none of us remember ordering so I've quickly photographed and uploaded them, as we have no idea how much they should be we have priced them at £1 per pack. Lots of news....

Firstly the Long awaited Viva Decor paints have arrived... The crackle paints are metallic and look absolutely gorgeous. Their new line of alcohol Inks are here too but not yet on the site as I'm waiting for translations of the German labels to arrive! If you really can't wait to get them give us a call!

Secondly there have been lots of deletions in the Colour Connection range from Craftime for the new catalogue so we have reduced all discontinued lines to 50p each!!! The embellisment boxes are now down to £2.00, that's half the original price...Also they have a newaddition called regency, very elegant and useful too

A new paper range from Hunkydory arrived late last night so today will be spent photographing and uploading, also some lovely screen shaped cards so watch out for those going up.

Long Weekend Sale...15% off all orders

I shall be spending the weekend away with my Husband in the middle of a forest in a log cabin with a hot tub on the balcony. I envisage the weekend will be spent mostly sipping wine, while relaxing in the hot tub, my most taxing thought being whether I should wear a bathing suit or a bikini!!

Internet problems AGAIN.....

We lost our internet service yesterday at 8.30 in the morning, it had been restored now after many long and probably expensive calls to Orange Customer Service! It seems to have been a widespread problem, not just us. Sometimes living in the Lake District causes it's problems but apparently it wasn't just us this time!!

Thankfully all seems to be working fine at the moment, we only have 2 computers connected but hopefully that should be enough till the problems are all ironed out. If you are waiting for us to reply to an email enquiry they are currently coming through thick and fast so we will answer them all as soon as we possibly can. Thank you for your patience yet again. Until just recently we have had very few problems with Orange, we have been with them years, since we could only get Dial up here and they were still Freeserve. Anyone recommend a good provider to move to???

Craft Hobby and Stitch Trade Show

Well, we are completely exhausted from our run around the show yesterday. As usual we had only one day to complete everything but as the show was noticeably smaller this year it was a little easier to achieve. I even managed to see a few demos this year. We placed a lot of orders with our regular suppliers and even found a few new ones.

I couldn't resist the new Laurence Llewelyn Bowen range from Trimcraft and the new range from kate Knight, it's quite bright and funky a little different to our usual stock but again I couldn't resist!

 I had my arm twisted into 3 new paint ranges from viva colour by their very persuasive and rather funny sales team. Huge tubs of Croco crackle paint, Glass effect gel which comes in a pen form like the pearl pens but is transluscent. My favourite has to be the crystal clear one though. You can add a pearl drop, stipple or dab the gels onto your projects. I thought they would be fun to use with the perspex fragments and acetates. They have their own alcohol ink range called Marble-FX, they are brand new apparently I was only the 4th person to order them. There are only 12 colours at the moment but that does include white. I can't wait to try them out and see how they differ from the ranger product.

Speaking of which there have been two whole new colour sets released in their alcohol ink range to match the existing earthtones range their are now brights and lights too. I was fortunate enough to be given a tag made by Tim as he was demonstrating the new colours and thelatest additions to the idea-ology range.

Also released is a double tipped fillable alcohol ink pen with a fine and a brush tip again I'm looking forward to trying these out. He recommended using the darker colours in these and keeping one as a blender pen.

I seem to have seen so much and ordered so many different things I can't remember now, it will be a huge shock when it all starts arriving!

Wax Paper, Joanna Sheen and Cotton Bags

It's been a busy few days here, we are finally getting somewhere in the battle with our technology, hopefully we will all be back to normal very soon. On top of that we have had a few more deliveries...

Firstly our Wax paper is back in stock and we have a huge amount, so if you are desperate to try out the cuttlebug resist technique from February's Craft Stamper you can find it here.

Next we have Joanna Sheen Backing Paper Pads, CDs and DVDs. I'm sure you have all seen Joanna Sheen and her products on the television and after repeated requests we have succumbed! Joanna Sheen products are all found here.

Finally we have two sizes of eco cotton bags to alter however you like, paint, stamp, dye, stitch, whatever you like at only 85p for the small bag and £1.25 for the large long handled bag they are a bargain too!  You can find them both in the  alterables  category.
